Walk, Ride, Bike to School

Start the new year in a healthy way. We're encouraging our school community to leave the car at home and walk, bike or roll to school for additional days a month:

  • Jan. 10
  • Jan. 24

If you're on a bike, catch a bike train to school. What's a bike train? It’s a group bike ride to school, led by experienced parents and volunteers.

Our Wellness Policy

We have had a wellness policy for several years in our school district. Nutrition habits have definitely improved, but we still have some work to do:

Lunch: School lunches always have an entree choice and multiple options at the salad bar for fruits and vegetables. If your child brings their lunch, please provide a nutritious lunch. We occasionally see lunches filled with sugar- and sodium-laden products.

Birthdays: Please refrain from sending in any type of birthday treats or surprises to school. Not having birthday celebrations at school will give teachers back some valuable teaching time. Birthdays will still be announced each morning and those students will come up to the office to receive a sticker.

If you have questions about the wellness policy, please contact the district office at (408) 847-2700.

The district's new Aeries portal gives parents/guardians access to:

  • Online “data confirmation” process, instead of traditional paper emergency cards;

  • Student attendance information;

  • Settings for receiving district and school calls, emails, etc.
